Congratulations to LEW for being selected as a 2022 CLAS School of Distinction for the AIM High Mentoring Program. This award recognizes school programs that serve as outstanding educational models for other schools in Alabama. This year, 208 schools were nominated for this prestigious recognition with 177 applications submitted and 32 schools selected as the 2022 CLAS Schools of Distinction. 

It's an honor to say that LEW is one of the 32 schools that will be recognized at the awards luncheon on May 8, 2023 at which the CLAS Banner School from each State Board District will be announced. The other schools are Bankhead Middle School in Walker County, Harlan Elementary school, FCS, and Winfield Elementary School, Winfiled City Schools.  

This is a not only a great honor for LEW and our Mentoring program, but for all of our schools and mentors.
