District Report Card

Sheffield Community,

Sheffield schools made gains in the State Report Card with the districtwide score up three points from last year. The district score is 79 C, up from 76 last year. While we aren't where we want to be, we're pleased with our three-point gain and are hopeful for an even greater increase next year. I am most grateful for the hard work of our teachers, staff and students. Our gains, likewise, are only possible through supportive parents and families who believe in our school district and our commitment to excellence. Nowhere is there a harder working group of educators than in our district and our students are the beneficiaries of those efforts.

Our district is proud to be a community that values education, and we have made positive progress thanks to the collaborative spirit within Sheffield City Schools. We are excited to continue building on this momentum and achieving even greater success in the years to come.

Sincerely,

Carlos Nelson, Ed.D
Superintendent
