Assistant Superintendent

Mrs. Edwards joins Sheffield City Schools with 23 years of experience in public education.  At the school level, she has worked at elementary, middle, and high school. In addition to the experience she brings from the school level, she has also worked at the district and state level having previously been a teacher, building administrator, director, and MTSS regional coach.  She also has ten years of experience from working in the business world prior to working in public education.

Although she has been in the Shoals for the past 13 years, she has lived in multiple states throughout her life. This ignited her passion for ensuring that every student receives every opportunity to achieve their fullest potential regardless of their zip code.  She is excited about the passion for education she sees in Sheffield City Schools and wants to continue to support the work already being done to fulfill the vision for being a “top-performing district known for high expectations, accountability, collaboration, and proven instructional practices.”
