Educational Opportunities for Students

Sheffield City Schools offer career and technical education programs to all students. The programs offered onsite

include Business Management and Administration, Health Science, Hospitality and Tourism, Work-Based Learning,

and Advanced Placement Computer Science. Through a partnership with the Muscle Shoals Career Academy,

students also have the opportunity to enroll in Automotive Technology, Building Construction, Cosmetology, Drafting

Design Technology, Education and Training, Industrial Maintenance, Information Technology, Medical Science,

Multimedia Design, Project Lead the Way Engineering, Welding, and Internships. The programs are designed to

prepare our students for a broad range of employment opportunities, post-secondary educational opportunities, and

are offered under the guidance and instruction of certified teachers. All career and technical education programs

follow the system’s policies of nondiscrimination. The Sheffield district does not discriminate on the basis of race,
