Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. My name is Laura Beth Cole, and I am excited to be in my second year at Sheffield High School as the Health Science instructor. I am originally from Huntsville, AL and came to the Shoals area in the fall of 2000. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2003. Upon graduation, I began working for Huntsville Hospital Health Systems, specializing in Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, and Surgery. My previous teaching experience spans nine years and includes Prepared Childbirth, Marvelous Multiples, and instructing student nurses in the clinical setting. I returned to the Shoals area, with my family, in 2014, and continued working for local hospitals in the roles of office nurse and women’s services. My husband, Jon, and I have been married for sixteen years and are blessed to be raising three amazing children. We have two daughters and a son. The youngest two are girl/boy twins. We also have two cats, and I often tell people they are the best dogs I have ever had. I am excited to have the opportunity to positively impact students and consider it an honor to be part of the foundational education of our future health professionals. I am also greatly looking forward to the many things I know I will learn from the students at Sheffield High School. GO BULLDOGS!
