I began my teaching career at Cherokee High School during the 2015-2016 school year and was given the opportunity to come back "home" to Sheffield High School for the 2016-2017 school year. I am a 2010 graduate of SHS where I was involved in various clubs, played trumpet in the "Sound of the Shoals" Marching Band, and graduated number 6 in my class. After graduating from SHS, I attended the University of North Alabama where I studied Secondary Education with a concentration in Biology. I was also a member of the UNA Pride of Dixie Marching Band trumpet section from 2010 to 2014. I graduated from UNA in May 2015 and took a job as a Crew Trainer at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for the summer. I LOVE teaching space science to children as well as adults....so be prepared for LOTS of space knowledge incorporated into my lessons!
I am married to Jacob Murray and we are the proud parents of three beautiful Mini Australian Shepard puppies, Winnie, Missy, and Ellie, and our beautiful daughter, Gemma Lee. I am VERY excited to once again be a Sheffield Bulldog and cannot wait to see what this year will bring us. Here's to a FANTASTIC 2018-2019 school year! GO DOGS!!
