Newly Painted Threadgill Classroom

Two schools in the Sheffield District were selected to receive a True Value "Painting a Brighter Future" paint grant. Through Discount Dan's in Sheffield, Threadgill Primary and Sheffield High School each received 40 gallons of paint to give the schools a much needed "facelift" over the summer. Teachers, administrators, volunteers, and local churches all came together to paint classrooms, offices, hallways, and school spirit signs throughout the buildings. Superintendent Keith Lankford said having these materials supplied was a tremendous help to the district. "There's always so much work to be done over the summer with very limited resources." Threadgill principal Matthew Syesta (pictured) said his teachers were so excited to have the paint and immediately volunteered to paint their rooms. Thank you to Discount Dan's and True Value for "Painting a Brighter Future" for Sheffield children!
