Textbooks support the curriculum and instructional programs in the district,  enhance the teaching-learning process, and help to reinforce the skills and concepts students learn at school.   Textbooks are adopted on a six-year schedule set by the state.  The adoption schedule may be viewed under the "documents" tab in this section.  A local textbook committee composed of teachers and parents from each school in the district, reviews textbooks and makes recommendations to the Sheffield Board of Education for adoption each year.  The current textbook commitee list is posted under the "documents" tab in this section.
