All students with disabilities must be allowed to receive instruction for the length of the regular school day as provided to nondisabled peers, unless the individualized education program (IEP) team specifies a different length of time based on the individual need of the student (AAC 290-8-9.05(2)(c). The start and end time of the school day must be the same for students with disabilities and their nondisabled peers. No student with a disability may receive a shortened school day due to transportation issues or administrative convenience.
